Terraria Hallowed Armor Vs Titanium

Titanium armor vs hallowed armor on pc so i’ve done some looking, and it seems like on console terraria people tend to stick with titanium armor over hallowed due to shadow dodge in the titanium armor. I never go for hallowed though.

One of the first differences is the extraction of crafting materials.

Hallowed armor is a hardmode armor set. The titanium armor set is an armor set crafted from titanium bars, and is the alternative to adamantite armor. By the time he's gotten any ectoplasm, he'll be able to beat the destroyer and get the 10 hallowed bars easily.

I also don't like the whole mindset of 'original better in stats, worse in set bonus' that people propose in this debate. Hallowed has better raw stats, but it doesn't protect you from nearly as much damage as titanium does. Terraria > general discussions > topic details.

As for me, being a mage, i'm on a flimsy side, and even though orchicalcum is boss, i want to have the next set. Terraria expert vs normal difficulty before creating the world in terraria, the initial setup takes place in a special window. Crafting all five pieces requires 85 titanium bars or 340.

Hallowed armor is the final set of armor made available in hardmode. In a boss fight, the primary goal is to take less than 150 damage every 45/60 seconds. I guess it depends on what set bonus you want and what class you're playing.

All looks aside, which do you prefer? It's always a massive disappointment to not get titanium in a world. As a ranger, he has frost armor, which seems better than hallowed anyway.

Frost armor is easier to craft as it involves finding titanium or adamantite, as well as fighting ice golems. This guy has titanium armor, so he probably isn't anywhere near fighting the pumpkin moon, which also requires having beaten plantera and farming spirits. A few percent more dps isn't going to help if you end up dead.

So hallowed is stronger, and easier to get. In addition, frost armor and hallowed armor with a used hallowed mask or hallowed helmet are intended for use by dd warriors or archers. Titanium is the equivalent of adamantine, and hallowed sits on top.

Personally, i would prefer titanium armour to hallowed, since titanium makes you invulnerable every thirty seconds which i would argue is more valuable than the pure stat boosts that hallowed gives you. In addition to setting the world's size, name, seed, and infection options, there is a choice of difficulty. It's a lame set compared to the others you get around that same time.

Magic is a bit trickier. Forbidden armor (with forbidden circlet) titan heart armor. Crystal storm is basicly a magical megashark, while the magical harp can reach what is arguably the highest dps.

Crafting a full set with one headpiece requires 54 hallowed bars (dropped by the mechanical bosses), or 90 / 78 hallowed bars for the full set including all four / three headpieces. Adamantite is available as soon as you get to hardmode, hallowed requires you to kill mechanical bosses.

Like many hardmode armors, it has three different headgear/helmet options, allowing the player to focus on magical, melee, or ranged combat.
